Agape is specializing in the production and sale of Shea butter ,  herbal cosmetics  and having a cooperative with over 800 women in 8 communities. Operating as a sole proprietorship under the Ghana Business Names Act 1962, Agape is situated in the Northern region of Ghana. The company envisions becoming a leading local producer and exporter of herbal cosmetics, with a distinct focus on promoting skin health and discouraging the use of skin-bleaching products.

Products Line

Agape’s product line features Shea and Moringa-based cosmetics, including Unrefined Shea butter, African black soap, Moringa soap, and Moringa shower gels. These products are crafted with a commitment to quality and natural ingredients, offering customers a range of skin-nourishing options.

Market Presence

Over its eleven-year journey, Agape has experienced substantial growth in both its product line and market presence. The company has successfully expanded its operations beyond Ghana, establishing a notable presence in Saudi Arabia, Zambia, Nigeria, the UK, and the USA. This expansion has been achieved through a combination of referrals, sales agents, and strategic utilization of social media platforms, particularly Facebook.

Sales and Production

 Agape currently produces 680 units of its herbal cosmetics monthly and 21 tons of shea butter in two weeks, generating approximately GHS 10,880.50 in sales. The company’s revenue streams include retail, wholesale, local, and export activities. Notably, about 90% of the monthly production is sold during the same period. In 2020, Agape achieved an annual sales milestone of GHS 181,320, showcasing its consistent growth trajectory.
